This project is the fruit of my need to possess the place I live in. I have put together the film of my art history. The film is a symbol of my time; each frame consists of a different drawing from different periods of my life (Kindergarten, Primary School, General school, High School and University). I use this film to appropriate the place I live in. I believe that both my need to own the city I live in – Winnipeg – and my reaction to it are instinctual, as instinctual as the reaction of a dog that urinates to mark his territory. I consider this project a work in progress and I intend to continue it in other places I might live in.
